Biography
Viviana Defazio is a freelance dancer, choreographer, workshop facilitator and Shiatsu practitioner. After completing her studies at the Folkwang University of the Arts, she worked and toured with numerous choreographers and directors, including Anna Konjetzky, Romeo Castellucci, Jo Parkes, Sasha Waltz, Akemi Nagao, Stella Geppert, among others. Her choreographic works have been shown at the Berlin Academy of Arts, the Humboldt Forum Museum, the Bode Museum, the Radial System, the JTW Spandau and the Sophiensäle Berlin. She also teaches dance in relation to Extended Reality (XR) at the Bauhaus University in Weimar and at the UdK Berlin. She has been working for Isabelle Schad since 2023 and is a dancer of the past creations "Studies on Infinity#1" (Tanzhalle Wiesenburg June 2023) and "The Shift of Focus" (HAU1, October 2023) and the upcoming work " Studies on Infinity #2 - Nudity and Landscape" (Tanzhalle Wiesenburg June 2024).
