Biography
Silvia Remigio was born in 1991, she started her dance career with ballroom dance and competed nationally and internationally for over 10 years. In 2014 she won a scholarship with "Balletto di Toscana" professional dance school where she studied contemporary dance, ballet and hip hop. There she worked with the youth dance company Antitesi directed by Arianna Benedetti and Cristina Bozzolini.
Since 2017 she's been working with the awarded choreographer Nicola Galli in the productions "De Rerum Natura", "Il mondo altrove" and "Genoma".
In Germany she worked in the movie productions "Babylon Berlin", “The Hunger Games: the ballad of songbirds and snakes", "TAR" and "Tatort Berlin" with choreographers Julia Fidel, Chris Jaeger and Enrico Paglialunga, with choreographer Chantal Kohlmeyer in "Credo - Poetik des Glaubens", with Anja Kozik/Oxymoron Dance Company in "Tanz weit draußen:mittendrin", with Mey Seifan/Tanween Company in "Double Learning" and with Olga Rabetskaya in "4 Scenes".
She's the co-founder, alongside Veronica Parlagreco and Veronica Lillo, of monsterA Collective, producing the duets "Has Someone Seen Tyler Durden" premiered at TanzNetz Dresden, "Traces of an offspring" premiered at Waschhaus Potsdam and "Grenzen" premiered in Berlin, the site-specific performance "Attract" at ICG Gallery during Berlin´s Art week 2024 and the short dance movie “Separazione Naturale” official selection at Fifth Wall Fest (Philippines), Interfaccia Digitale Festival(Italy), Braga Video dance festival and Quinzena de danca de Almada (Portugal).
She's the assistant choreographer of Enrico Paglialunga for the musical productions “Prinz von Preußen” (Theater Görlitz Zittau, 2023) and “The rocky horror show” (Landestheater Coburg, 2024).
She is a grant holder of Dis-tanz Solo with her research “Mind Gears” and is working on her new solo production “20 seconds” supported by fabrik Potsdam and Tanzinitiative Brandenburg with mentoring by Sabine Chwalisz.
She teaches professional training and contemporary dance classes in Berlin at Marameo e.V, Dock11, Tanzfabrik, Papillon and Danceworks and around Germany at TanzWerk Kassel, E-werk Freiburg, TanzNetz Dresden, TanzFaktur Köln, cie. Toula Limnaios and Tanz Theater Gießen.
