Biography
Stefanie Alf is a choreographer, dancer and violinist. Her work is characterized by a focus on research with influences from literature, visual arts and critical dance studies, which are inspirations for and dialogue partners in her research. In her working methods and choreographies she creates spaces of collective experience. In September 2023 she graduated at the HZT (Hochschulübergreifendes Zentrum für Tanz) Berlin with a M.A. in Choreography.
Her most recent collaborations include "Urban Creatures" by Sebastian Matthias (dance, choreographic assistance) and a collaborative work (violin, performance) with Trinidad Martinez and Ingo Reulecke. In August 2023 she won the "BEST SOLO prize" at the IÓN Solo Contest II in Vila Praia Ancora, Portugal, with "NO MORE SOLO - fragment" with Emiko Tamura (dance).
Stefanie Alf has worked as a dancer, choreographer, choreographic assistant and musician in dance projects and guest performances in Germany, Switzerland, Croatia, Belgium, Austria, Spain, England and Portugal.
