Biography
SLEX ART is an interdisciplinary collective founded by Jenna Berlyn and Aris Pedrioli and based in Berlin. The collective began out of a desire and need for a platform in which the artists could discover, share and hone in on their propositions, collaborations and aesthetic values.
The collective exists as a meeting point of the physical and metaphysical, visual and auditory. It uses the performative body as a tangible medium among digital landscapes. SLEX aims to use the inherent tension of relating as a source of motivation, with relationships between people, places and emotions providing endless inspiration. The pieces created by SLEX are characterized by immersive visual and aural environments, with elements of contemporary dance and raw, visceral sound scores. Their creations often exist as site specific installations, live performances and digital materials.
SLEX ART has also collaborated with other dancers, local handmade designers such as GummyBearGangBang and Nur Hektor, and festival 48 Stunden Neukölln.
