Biography
Marcelo Vilela da Silva, born and raised in Brazil, studied design with a special focus on visual communication. With over fifteen years of experience as a graphic designer, he has established himself in the creative industry. From 2010 to 2023, he worked in the press and public relations department of the post-migrant theater Ballhaus Naunynstraße, where he gained valuable experience in the cultural sector. Marcelo is involved in Berlin’s independent cultural scene, where he works as a PR, marketing and media expert on various projects for different institutions. Since 2023, he has been responsible for all press and public relations work for the Kuyum Tanzplattform, a festival dedicated to the visibility and promotion of neo-African choreographies, and continues to promote innovative communication strategies in the cultural sector.
