Biography

Aybike İpekçi (b. 1996, Ankara) is a Berlin and Istanbul-based dancer, choreographer, and instructor. She began her artistic journey as a professional rhythmic gymnast and a member of the Turkish National Team (2003–2013). She graduated with high honors from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University’s Contemporary Dance Department, and also trained at Accademia Nazionale di Danza in Rome. Her movement practice spans contemporary dance (Release, Floor Work, Cunningham, Counter, Gaga), ballet, improvisation, acrobatics, and somatic methods like Feldenkrais.
She has performed in numerous stage productions and international projects, receiving several awards, including 1st and 2nd place at the International Büyükçekmece Festival and Best Choreographer at the Korea International Contemporary Dance Competition (2020).
Since 2015, she has taken part in numerous interdisciplinary projects as a creative dancer and performance artist, contributing to theatre festivals, biennials, and exhibitions. Throughout her career, she has worked alongside a wide range of musicians, bands, choreographers, and producers, making appearances in high-profile concerts, acclaimed events, and streaming platforms. She developed and performed both live and digital works in collaboration with globally recognized brands in the fashion, beauty, and sports industries.
